The Saturdays “Work” New Video and Rating
The Saturdays have a new single out called “Work” which is due for official release late June 09, but for those who can’t wait the video is out on YT and its here below. This is not a cover like their previous offering but original Saturdays material.
The Verdict:
Original Saturdays material, “Work” has the girls looking good on video, they are in the headlines that they want to take on Girls Aloud, they have the girly factor and look to take on Girls Aloud, but we’re not impressed by looks when it comes to music, do they have the sound to take on Girls Aloud.

Full marks for original material but it has to be said this is not ringing any new bells musically more like ” more of the same”. The positives…it’s catchy and a toe tapper, thats down to the decent base line, Girls look sexy and video is OK and the song length is just right to keep it snappy. Negatives are the individual vocals, we’ve heard them live, they are improving and are still a newish act but this needs to be improved further, a lot further as this is a studio recording and shortcomings are there!. Sonically all at the same time though they are not bad! Chart wise could do well as they have an increasing following and it is catchy.
Rating slightly below neutral hampered by the individual vocals but propped up by the girls as they are looking good. .. Rating 2 and half stars ++++
