The Latest on Steve McNair’s Shooting
While the sports world is still reeling from the death of former NFL quarterback Steve McNair, more details on his shooting are being uncovered.
Steve, 36, and his girlfriend, Sahel Kazemi, 20, were found fatally shot in a condominium in Nashville on Saturday afternoon. Steve had two gunshot wounds in his head and one is his chest, while his girl was shot once in the head.
The footballer was married with four children, but seemed to be dating Sahel — which may have turned out to be a bigger mistake than he imagined. According to police, Sahel was the one who purchased the gun that was used for the murders — and she had just bought it the Thursday before.
The couple was found by Steve’s friend Wayne Neely, who then called another friend, before said second friend called the cops — which is not sitting well with authorities.
“We believe it could have been 40 minutes or even longer,” Police spokesman Don Aaron said of the time between when the bodies were found and the call for help. “Suffice it to say we are concerned about the time that elapsed between the discovery of the bodies and the time the 911 call was made.”
