Michelle Obama and “The Correspondents Gala Dinner”, Washington DC.
The Correspondents Gala Dinner was held at the Washington Hilton on Saturday 9 May and it’s a rather different style of “black tie” event with non other than the President of the United States and his First Lady in attendance and there was a star turnout for this one.
This event is renowned for being formal in attire but quite informal everywhere else, and its where the media, stars and high ranking government officials basically “take the mick” out of themselves in front of the whole audience. Barack Obama turned on the Presidential humour saying
“I believe my next 100 days will be so successful that I will be able to complete them in 72 days,” ……..And on my 73rd day, I will rest.”
that had the audience in hysterics. His wife Michelle Obama was also on fine form. On the subject of Michelle Obama she recently attended a Cinco De Mayo Celebration at a local Washington DC school some days before this event, a must see photo below sitting with school kids in the front row, a very much hands on type of First Lady

Famous celebs that attended the “Correspondents Gala Dinner” event included American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi, Jon Bon Jovi, Sting, Natalie Portman, Felicity Huffman, Forest Whitaker, Stevie Wonder, Glenn Close, Steven Spielberg, Alicia Keys, Eva Longoria Parker, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore . On the Brit front there was Natasha Bedingfield, Colin Firth, Sting, Gordon Ramsay, and Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
Demi Moore in our opinion stole the show on the Red Carpet and effortlessly we may add. Its called star quality, you’ve either got it or……… you haven’t!
