Marlee Matlin and Hollywood Walk of Fame Star Ceremony
Marlee Matlin attended the Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony held on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. She now has that famous star on that even more famous walk and is up there with the other big name all time stars from fields such as Television, Radio, Live Theatre/performance, Motion Pictures and Recording. Marlee Matlin receives the 2383rd star and Actor/Producer Henry Winklet was at the event along with actress Jennifer Beals and it was held outside the Musso and Frank Grill.
Marlee Matlin is famous for her role in the film “Children of A Lesser God” where she managed to pick up the Golden Gobe Award for Best Actress in a Drama and also an Academy Award for Best Actress. This lady is the youngest ever actress to be nominated and win an academy award at the age of 21.
What makes her success all the more astonishing is she has been deaf since 18 months of age and first started acting at the age of 7 in a theatre production of the Wizard of Oz. Her list of appearances goes on to include household name shows such as Desperate Housewives, ER, CSI:NY and The Outer Limits and has also appeared on Dancing with the Stars.
