Lolene Everett, also known as Lolene, is a British pop singer ready to take on the North American scene with a vengeance. All I have to say is, move over Lady GaGa, you’ve got some competition! Read more about Britain’s newest pop princess here.
Meet Lolene Everett, also known as Lolene. She was born in Bristol, United Kingdom on March 12, 1985, making her to be twenty-five years of age. Not only is Everett an experienced singer, she also has the talent of songwriting, record producing and performing. Everett was raised solely by her mother and independently started working in music as a background singer. After relocating to London, Lolene was signed onto BMG Records to front a girl’s group. She focused much of her time on songwriting and entered into the London dance club scene under the alter ego of Miss Foo Foo.
Shortly after she decided to pursue a solo career, Everett packed up and moved to Los Angeles. It was not long after she met record producer JR Rotem that she was signed onto Beluga Heights/Sony ATV, primarily as a songwriter. She was then introduced to Rotem’s manager Zach Katz with whom she was able to develop a unique, personal sound that she hopes to charm the world with.
Lolene’s debut album The Electrick Hotel is set to release in the summer of 2010 under the Capitol Records label, which she was signed onto in 2009.
About her new debut album Electrick Hotel, Lolene says, “I call it The Electrick Hotel because when you put the album on, you’re my guest. I’m going to take care of you. You’re invited to come and stay a while in my world, which I see as like a hotel where each song is a room that captures a different part of my personality and expresses different emotions. So if you’re feeling happy, you can go to the penthouse and dance to ‘Sexy People.’ If you’re heartbroken, you can visit the first-floor and have a cry to ‘Beautiful Disaster.’”
Be on the lookout for Lolene Everett, the next big thing!
