Though we won’t know for sure what caused the very unexpected death of Michael Jackson until after the autopsy results are released, Life & Style is reporting that it could have been overdose of prescription drugs that lead to his demise.

Sources close to the King of Pop say that he had been taking a combination of Xanax, Zoloft, and Demerol — which, if not taken properly, could cause cardiac arrest.

MJ’s lawyer, Brian Oxman, also told CNN that he had been concerned that drugs would get the best of the icon.

“This was something which I feared and something which I warned about,” he said in an interview with the news channel. “I can tell you for sure that this is something I warned about. Where there is smoke there is fire.”

The attorney then compared Michael to Anna Nicole Smith, alleging that Michael had ‘enablers’ surrounding him.

Whatever the cause of death, the reality that Michael Jackson is gone is just so hard to swallow.
